The World Bank states that “The world needs to produce at least 50% more food to feed 9 billion people by 2050. But climate change could cut crop yields by more than 25%. The land, biodiversity, oceans, forests, and other forms of natural capital are being depleted at unprecedented rates. Unless we change how we grow our food and manage our natural capital, food security—especially for the world’s poorest—will be at risk.”

 

We wish our technologies can address the food shortage crisis the world is facing. With these green technologies, we do not only produce enough food in a way that create the least impact to our environment but also set up a model of conservation to our home, the Earth and respect to our Nature for our current and future generations to follow. 

 

 

世界銀行指出糧食需求在2050年前需增加50%以滿足到時達90億的人口的需求。但是氣候的改變令農作物生產減少超過25%。然而土地、生態多樣性、海洋、森林、以及其他的天然資源都以前所未有的速度損耗，如果我們不改變食物生產的方式和天然資源的管理，糧食安全 – 尤其是對世界最貧困的人口 – 將是一個危機。

 

 

 

我們希望透過這些科技可解決全球將面臨的糧食危機。這些綠色科技不單可以讓我們以對環境造成最小傷害的方式來滿足日益增長的全球人口對糧食的需求，也同時豎立保護地球家園和尊重大自然的榜樣。
